Collaborative practice of visual artists Gillian McFarland & Ruth Singer

McFarland & Singer are an established artist collaboration focussed on research-led practice and partnerships. Between us we have experience of curating and delivering exhibitions to diverse audiences as well as devising and running successful public engagement events.  Our joint creative work explores marks of time and change, impermanence and meticulous observation of our world, looking for new truths, communicating this with a wider audience and stimulating intellectual and creative thinking. 

During 2017 we were  Artists in Residence in the Genetics Department of Leicester University. The project was featured on BBC Inside Science on 11th May 2017.

Winners of the 44AD Exhibition Prize at Bath Arts Festival May 2017.

Our work has been shown in various exhibitions and events in Scotland, Berlin and Leicester.
